Low water requirement. Prefers full sun. Grows readily on slopes.

To 1 foot. Shorter than the similar Oenothera pallida.
Ecology
Evening primroses are aptly named, as they bloom in the early evening and usually close their flowers by mid-morning. This makes them particularly important for moth species such as hawk moths.
